Staff at Oglethorpe Sturton & Gillibrand have been in training for the upcoming charity walk.
On 7th May, solicitors from Oglethorpe Sturton & Gillibrand are doing this year’s Keswick to Barrow 42 mile walk as part of “Team OSG”. Yes- that is 42 miles- or like walking to the Kirkby Office and back to Lancaster and then up to Ashton Memorial – with a lot of hills (some say mountains but we don’t want to exaggerate!) thrown in.
Other colleagues who have previously completed the walk can confirm the walk is as hard as it sounds.
Not only is the walk tough we have to be in Keswick by 5.00 am for the start! So when some will be stumbling home from Lancaster’s finest bars we will be queuing up for the buses to take us to Keswick.
We are hoping to raise as much money as possible for the good causes across Cumbria and Lancashire that the event supports. It is a great event and it is the 50th Anniversary so will be extra special.
With 4 weeks to go we need the motivation!! Plus our Murray Wilson has broken a couple of ribs (tripping over his dog!) and can’t do any more training- so “sympathy and more sponsors would be nice” he says.
For more information or to sponsor us please google Keswick to Barrow Walk or click here
Or if anyone wants to sponsor us the old fashioned way then we have some sponsorship forms at the office.
