Staff and guests of Oglethorpe Sturton & Gillibrand enjoyed another well attended sponsored rugby match at Kirkby Lonsdale Rugby Club on Saturday.
It was a crisp and sunny winter’s day, and guests were greeted by a roaring open fire in the clubhouse around which they enjoyed their lunch.
After lunch, the supporters went out into the cold, wrapped up warm ready to watch Kirkby Lonsdale play Penrith. A great start from Kirkby Lonsdale in the first half, then saw Penrith crawl up the points, but it was not enough, as the game finished with a 23 – 17 victory for Kirkby Lonsdale!
Oglethorpe Sturton & Gillibrand would like to thank all their guests for attending. It was a fantastic day in an informal and relaxed atmosphere. We look forward to another great event next year!
