Staff at Oglethorpe Sturton and Gillibrand were amongst the crowds outside Lancaster Castle on Friday for the Queen’s long awaited visit to the city. Our offices (just opposite the Castle) couldn’t have been better placed for the Royal visit!
The rain didn’t dampen our spirits with lots of people flying flags (and their umbrellas) as the Queen arrived.
The military brass band was playing, under cover of the trees, whilst the Queen was driven up Castle Hill.
The Queen was greeted at the steps of Lancaster Castle where she was then taken on a tour.
Her visit marked the 750th anniversary of the creation of the Duchy of Lancaster. The team at OSG were delighted to celebrate her visit to our city!
