We have all been reeling from the sad news of the death of Shaun Murray, who has worked for Oglethorpe Sturton and Gillibrand for nearly 40 years, since he left school.
Shaun has been in charge of archiving records and deeds – originally on paper cards, and later on our database. He also helped with many administrative tasks, and his charming and enthusiastic tones would have been familiar to anyone phoning us, at lunchtimes or during the holiday season.
He has been a wonderful colleague for all of us and we are going to miss him, immensely.
He has been off work for only a couple of months, and we wish to give his Wife, Sharon and their children, Jonathan and Rebecca all our sympathy and support.
Shaun’s funeral is at Lancaster Crematorium on Friday 7th July at 2.45pm.
As a mark of respect we will be closing our doors for the Afternoon.
