Oglethorpe Sturton and Gillibrand is delighted to announce that it has promoted Associate, Charlotte Russell, to become a partner of the firm. Charlotte, who has lead the firm’s residential property team since 2021, becomes the youngest partner of the firm.
On speaking about her promotion Charlotte says, “I am incredibly honoured to accept this position and I am so excited to be playing my part in the ongoing success and leadership of the firm. There is nowhere else I would rather be progressing my career than here”.
Charlotte, whose home town is Kendal, where she still lives with her husband and young daughter, trained and qualified at the firm. Charlotte comments, “Working alongside me in partnership is a team of absolutely brilliant lawyers and I wouldn’t be where I am today without their excellent training, guidance and support”.
Charlotte specialises in both commercial and residential property matters, spending time across the firm’s two offices in Lancaster and Kirkby Lonsdale. She will continue to head up the residential conveyancing department, whilst working closely with fellow partners David Park, Alison Kinder and Allan Sumner to lead one of the largest commercial property teams in the region.
Jennifer Grabowski, Managing Partner, reflecting on Charlotte’s promotion says “Charlotte joined us in 2013 as a paralegal and her potential shone through right from the start. After completing her training with the firm in 2016, we were delighted to offer Charlotte an opportunity to continue her career with us as a qualified solicitor. Over the past 9 years Charlotte has become and very much remains a key member of the firm – leading many of the firm’s marketing initiatives over the years alongside building a reputation within her specialist area of residential and commercial property. Today’s promotion is the next step in Charlotte’s continued journey with Oglethorpe Sturton & Gillibrand and one that is very well deserved.”
