Ross finished his studies in 2019 and joined Oglethorpe Sturton & Gillibrand solicitors in 2022 after completing his postgraduate LPC at the University of Central Lancashire.

Specialist areas that Ross covers include:

Residential and Commercial Property including possession claims brought by landlord, lender or defended by tenant, contractual terms, boundary disputes, agricultural and rural property, breach of terms and covenants, disrepair, and dilapidations. , rent review and non-payment of rent,

Commercial Contract and Business Disputes including contractual disputes, consumer goods and services, ombudsman adjudication, debt recovery, money claims, directors’ duties, and partnership disputes.

Wills, Trusts, and Probate including Inheritance Act 1975 claims for reasonable financial provision, validity of Wills, intestacy rules, trustees’ duties and trust governance generally.

Employment including performance and capability management, grievances and disciplinaries, dispute resolution, detriments, contractual terms, restrictive covenants i.e., restraint of trade and non-dealing clauses, and Employment Tribunal procedure.

Social Welfare and Education including welfare benefits and appeals, disputes with local education authorities, Education, Health, and Care Plan Tribunal appeals.

Ross is currently in the firm’s Litigation department assisting Laura Bright and David Barnes in a variety of contentious work.
