Ikram qualified as a Solicitor in 2018 and has been specialising in property matters since. Ikram joined Oglethorpe, Sturton & Gillibrand’s Commercial Property Department in September 2025.

Specialist areas that Ikram covers include:

• Commercial property acquisitions and disposals including relocation of business premises, disposal and acquisition of investment/tenanted properties.
• Development including site acquisitions for development purposes, spanning various sectors, such as, residential and industrial, site assembly and subsequent disposals, development agreements and agreements for lease, promotion agreements.
• Leases and property/estate management including acting for landlords of investment/tenanted properties and sites, leasehold disposals by landlords, the grant of new and the acquisition of existing leases by business tenants, lease renewals, rent deposit deeds, licences for alterations, licences for change of use.
• Corporate support including assisting the Corporate Legal Services team in the property elements of the sales and purchases of businesses and companies, including dealing with property warranties, property due diligence and the structure of the property elements of a corporate based transaction.
• Property finance including acting for lenders and funders in connection with secured finance transactions and their related due diligence, including legal charges, deferred consideration and personal guarantees, dealing with distressed assets and the sale and purchase of properties in an insolvency context.

Ikram was raised, educated and lives in the Lancaster area and is actively involved with the local and business community.
