Did you know that 40% of people in the UK die without making a Will – that’s between 200,000 and 250,000 every year.
The Law Society is currently consulting on modernising the law surrounding Wills.
As part of this consultation they are asking:
– what the main barriers people see to making a Will are;
– for personal experiences of disputes over Wills following the death of a loved one; and
– whether the rule that marriage revokes a Will should be retained or abolished
Responses can be made direct to the Law Commission:
– by email, to propertyandtrust@lawcommission.gsi.gov.uk;
-or by post, to Damien Bruneau, Law Commission, 1st Floor, Tower, Post Point 1.53, 52 Queen Anne’s Gate, London, SW1H 9AG
