The Autumn Budget included a big surprise but excellent news for first time house buyers.

The government are scrapping Stamp Duty Land Tax for all purchases made by first time buyers under £300,000. Any purchases higher than £300,000 will still attract Stamp Duty Land Tax, however, at a much reduced rate.

This is fantastic news for first time buyers looking to get their foot on the property ladder.

At Oglethorpe Sturton & Gillibrand we pride ourselves on giving clients the best service and advice when buying properties, and are happy to provide quotations for any house sales and purchases. We are especially keen to hear from first time buyers purchasing their first home. We will provide you with all the advice, step by step guidance and support you need throughout the transaction, which will always be dealt with by a qualified and experienced lawyer.

For any first time buyers who also have a Help to Buy ISA, the firm does not charge any additional fee for dealing with and requesting the 25% bonus.

Please get in touch with us today for your free no obligation quote on Lancaster 01524 846846 or Kirkby Lonsdale 015242 71388.
