Good Divorce Week

Partner, and Head of our Family department, Emma Briggs is part of the South Cumbria and North Lancashire Collaborative Law Group.

Collaborative Law is a form of family Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) where specially trained lawyers acting for each party resolve family law disputes through a series of four-way meetings attended by the parties and their respective collaboratively trained lawyers.

This week Emma appears in the Westmorland Gazette with her fellow collaborative lawyers asking “is there such a thing as a good divorce?”.

Emma offers specialist advice in relation to divorce, separation and resolving financial matters with the benefit of over 20 years experience. Emma is one of the few qualified collaborative solicitors in the area enabling her to offer a wider range of options for resolving disputes.

Charlotte Russell was exceptional throughout. As someone who’s blind, I needed the process to be clear and accessible, and she went out of her way to make sure it was.
