Oglethorpe Sturton & Gillibrand are proud to support the Churches Conservation Trust at Lancaster Priory.

Oglethorpe Sturton & Gillibrand have recently supported a concert at Lancaster Priory to raise awareness of the plight of St John the Evangelist church in the Centre of Lancaster: a real gem of a building sadly and substantially damaged in the floods.

St John the Evangelist is a key part of Lancaster’s history and an excellent example of Georgian architecture but in real danger of being irreparably damaged.

Those attending the concert were treated to an excellent program of music by some of Lancaster’s most talented choirs and musicians including The Millennium Choir, The Lancaster Ensemble, Divers Voyces, Christopher Steele (tenor) The Gladly Solemn Sound, Ian Pattinson (organist). Andrew White (historian) also explained the historical significance of St John the Evangelist.
