Reflecting on the firm’s achievements is one of our favourite times of the year. We are tremendously proud of everything we have accomplished this year, and of the dedication of our colleagues who have been instrumental in our growth. This year continued to spark significant changes across industries, with wide impacts on our local communities, businesses, and family farms.

The next few years will see transformative changes in tax and succession legislation, affecting many of our clients’ operations. Despite these challenges, the firm remains committed to fully supporting our clients through these changes. Our teams in Private Client, Commercial Property, and Agricultural Property departments are expanding to meet growing demands and our proactive approach will ensure our clients continue to receive high quality legal services.

Despite the pressures this year, our dedication has been recognised once again in the Chambers & Partners Guide, seeing our Private Client Department ranked in the High Net Worth Guide. The firm also garnered recognition in the Legal 500 for outstanding contributions in Agriculture and Estates, Private Client, Commercial Property, and Corporate and Commercial services.

Our teams have worked incredibly hard to support our clients this year, who have shown enthusiasm, adaptability and determination to master significant changes to the law. We have helped develop colleagues by providing a culture of learning, innovation and collaboration. In an ever-changing world, we are driven to innovate and continue to be inspired by the creativity of our teams.

We are also grateful for the strength of business relationships within the local business community, whose partnerships and insights have been invaluable to us as we have navigated the complexities of this year together. As the year comes to an end, we extend our deepest gratitude to our clients, business partners and the local business community for consistently placing their trust in us year after year and we look forward to this continuing into 2026 and beyond.

From all of us at Oglethorpe, Sturton & Gillibrand, we wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
